MAY 5 - Forgiveness

And forgive us our debts,
as we also have forgiven our debtors.

Matthew 6:12 NIV

Jesus said for us to ask God to forgive us AS WE FORGIVE THOSE WHO OFFEND US.

It’s interesting to note that He knew we would get offended and he provided a solution so we could walk in freedom and power.

Jesus walked with tremendous power because He decided to constantly walk in forgiveness because he was the definition of it.

Before the foundations of the Earth the Bible says he was the lamb that was slain.

Many of us are waiting for God to do the miracle we’ve been waiting for. Many of us are a few steps away: however the miracle will always be close enough to see but far enough where you can’t touch it because Lack of forgiveness is in your life. Lack of forgiveness is stopping us from moving forward and making it through the eye of a needle.

And sometimes it can be your fault you don’t get the miracle because you held onto things you were never supposed to.

The Bible says when you truly repent God forgets in Isaiah 43:25.

“I, even I, am he who blots out
your transgressions, for my own sake,
and remembers your sins no more.

The real question is - Did you forget the same way God did?

  1. Why are you holding onto the things (pain/sin) that God forgave you from?

  2. Why do you believe holding it will make you feel better?

  3. God can forgive us, but can we forgive ourselves?
