OCT 2 - You Make God Proud
13 For you formed my inward parts;
you knitted me together in my mother's womb.
14 I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.
Wonderful are your works;
my soul knows it very well.
15 My frame was not hidden from you,
when I was being made in secret,
intricately woven in the depths of the earth.
16 Your eyes saw my unformed substance;
in your book were written, every one of them,
the days that were formed for me,
when as yet there was none of them.Psalm 139:13-16 ESV
God has a plan for you, a divine plan, not just for your life, for your emotions, for your expectations.
He formed you, and as a father he concerns himself with your wellbeing. He concerns himself with your wellbeing, he concerns himself with your surrounding, your environment. Not just the overall plans of our lives, or our careers.
There are times we focus more on our insecurities, than we do on God’s security.
God wants to establish a foundation in us, that reminds us that we are fearfully and wonderfully made. There is nothing God has created for it to fail, everything God makes it to succeed. Everything he makes, he makes for it to prosper.
There are plenty of times we can undermine that, we can ignore that, but the reality is - God is proud of you.
You might’ve made a mistake a year ago, maybe a month ago, maybe five seconds ago, but God is moved that your heart would choose to go to group.
And suddenly a voice came from heaven, saying, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”
Matthew 3:17 NKJV
You might not believe it, but you are beloved and God is pleased by you. You make him happy, you make him excited, and he’s here for you.
Why’s it so hard for us to understand that God is proud of us?
What can we do to acknowledge God’s heart towards us?
Do you believe you are loved? Have you been rejected before?
