Love Beyond Dimensions

that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, 18 may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height— 19 to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.

Eph 3:16-19

God loves us, not in the ways we think. He wants to give us a life that is full and complete, he wants to bless us so that we can bless others. But there are a few things to understand about God’s love.

  • We can’t give what we don’t have.

A lot of us want to receive God’s love, but it’s difficult for us to show love to others. How come? God didn’t create us to hate, he didn’t make us to cause pain or stress to others, especially those in our family or that love us. God want to see us thrive in his love, but in order to do that, we have to accept it. Let God’s love change you.

  • There are no limits to God’s love.

His love can’t be contained, it can’t be boxed in. We can’t say we understand it, because we never will. God loves you, he accepts you and he believes in you. He wants to pick you up and restore you, all of us have sinned, the bible says “we’ve all fallen short of His glory.” But he still loves us.

  • God’s love will complete you.

We walk around with wounds that never heal, with pain we like to cover up. Because we think that’s how life is, but it’s not. God wants to complete us. The bible says that we should be “filled with the fullness of God.” There’s a reason for that, without God we’re empty. Without God we won’t see a point or a purpose.
