AUG 3 - Free? Indeed.

32 And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”

36 Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.

John 8:32, 8:36

The truth shall set us free.

If the truth sets us free, what is the lie? The lie that keeps us bound. It can be described as sin, it can’t be described as generational lies. It can be described as deception, the bible calls Satan the deceiver. He comes to lie, kill and destroy. But nobody says it better than Jesus.

From the very beginning he was a murderer and has never been on the side of truth, because there is no truth in him. When he tells a lie, he is only doing what is natural to him, because he is a liar and the father of all lies.

John 8:44

What if every time you spoke it was a lie? It’d be hard to maintain a normal life, little by little your friends would question you. Your family would get offended, it’d be a pretty lonely existence. The devil’s goal from the beginning is to separate you from God.

The only way to remove yourself from that equation is to understand that you are fully created by God and for God. To acknowledge that the only way to God is by the bridge Jesus established between us. God can never go against his word, if the Son - Jesus Christ sets you free. Nothing can come between that freedom.

Find Jesus, be free indeed.
