Last week we spoke about his plans for us. This week we’ll talk about what he expects of us.
God has high expectations of you. Very high. He sees us as sons and daughters, all having his last name, his design, his idea of us. What parent has kids only to resent them? That’s certainly not what God is doing.
From his throne he’s watching, this isn’t meant to be creepy. This is meant to be reassuring. You WANT God to be watching, every kid wants his parents to be watching their greatest moments, to see their smiles, their reactions. We should be the same way.
God wants some of you to be businessmen or businesswomen, do you think God wants you to fail? NO. God wants to see you climbing higher than the rest, he wants to see his son/daughter lifted up and in return he would like some credit for the opportunity.
God’s parenting style is interesting, he won’t force anything. But he’ll arrive when he’s needed. It’s our responsibility to remember that God is watching, to behave like he’s watching and to call on him when we need it.
